Why did I Make This Blog?
I created Sea Witch Letters to post bits of the fantasy novel I am working on and share my thoughts and experiences writing my first book, as well as to investigate ideas that have inspired me to create the story.
The story is a fantasy/adventure/romance book about a pirate and a siren who have an unlikely friendship. Every good book needs a hook to sell it, so I figured for my first post I would share the stories hook as well as a draft blurb for the back cover of the book.
The Premise of My Novel
After spending eight years on a quest to unravel the secrets of a long lost ancient relic, the Pirate King Julian Blackwell crosses paths with a mysterious woman who is more than she seems; a magical siren with her own reasons for joining the captain’s mission.
Haunted by a promise to his late father, Captain Julian Blackwell has sailed Atlatia for years in search of answers. When Julians search brings him to the famed Isle of Lunadira, his fate brings him to Caspia; a siren with the power of transformation. Julian and Capsia join forces to uncover the meaning of the engravings on an ancient artifact left behind by Julians father, and what they discover along the way is more than they both bargained for. While Julian will give everything to keep his promise, Caspia will do anything to keep her secret. A tale of myths, Kings, secrets, magic, and love; will Julian and Caspia be able to put their differences aside and make things right before it’s too late?
